I am wearing two of my staple items in this picture: my mustard yellow low wedges and blue pin stripe button down. Both items seem to effortlessly pair with anything- who would have thought that they would go with a red lace pencil skirt? The shirt is great because I can use it to dress down items (like a gold sequin skirt that I paired with the skirt to wear to a girls brunch which totally evoked a walk of shame) and the shoes are great because I swear that color yellow is the new neutral! And the heels are so incredibly low and comfortable.

This is my hair in a top know without a sock bun- I feel like it looks so tiny up there!

I am sucker for polka dots and on a recent shopping excursion I found these tights. Needless to say, I am so happy I did!! It's been so chilly the past few days - fun tights are a great way to stay warm and jazz up a simple outfit.

Kris' birthday is tomorrow and I'm having a hard time trying to figure out what to get her. I mean what do you get the girl who has everything?!? What do you all think I should get her?

You hear about the LBD the LWD and even the LRD- but what about the LYD (little yellow dress)? I finally got my bangs trimmed (why is it that the rest of your hair takes eons to grow but your bangs can miraculously grow out in two weeks) and was feeling very Zoey Deschanel when I picked out this bright spring 50s feeling dress. It made me so happy that I wanted to burst out into song- a total exaggeration but you get the point ;)

I love that we have sprung forward and will have more daylight now!

My biggest days for style ruts are always when it's cold and rainy out. I find myself compulsorily reaching for jeans, boots, and a big comfortable sweater- but isn't that just letting the gross weather win? Why not wear something colorful and fun to perk your spirits in spite of the rain and cold! These Steve Madden boots were my first step towards this, I love coordinating outfits with the orange on the back of the zippers.

March is not only both of our birth months, it is the month that MAD MEN finally returns. This is our ode to the 1960s Betty, we can not wait for the new season to premiere! This show has had such an immense impact on the fashion world (as demonstrated by industry legends such as Louis Vuitton, Prada and Michael Kors at New York Fashion Week).  Pencil skirts, retro prints, pearls- curve hugging and loving!
